Brand messaging for PitchBook’s Seattle Kraken partnership
PitchBook’s partnership with
the Seattle Kraken 🏒
In 2020, PitchBook announced its partnership with the NHL’s Seattle Kraken and Climate Pledge Arena.
Through the partnership, PitchBook’s creative team aims to grow awareness for the platform’s offerings, both locally and nationally. To do that, we explore the relationship between the private markets and pro sports, host client events at The PitchBook Suite, and more.
Since the start of the team’s inaugural season in 2021, I’ve helped develop on-theme brand messaging to support various activations within Climate Pledge Arena, its exterior concourse, and the larger Seattle Center campus.
PitchBook’s Winformation Wall
at Climate Pledge Arena
The PitchBook Suites at CPA are home to one of the world’s largest flip disc displays—we call it the “Winformation Wall”. The Winformation Wall highlights event-specific capital market data and insights from the PitchBook Platform and spotlights game day stats with:
98,000 individual flip-discs
30 disc flips per second
35-feet of 7’ wall space
1 ton of total display weight
I’ve written custom copy for the the Winformation Wall for a variety of special events, including the Women’s Hockey Rivalry Series game between the US and Canada (November 22, 2022), WWE Fright Night Smackdown (November 11, 2022), and the Rain City Showcase game between the Clippers and Trail Blazers (October 3, 2022).
Winformation Wall highlight: Celebrating basketball legend Sue Bird’s incredible career 🏀
In celebration of Sue Bird’s final season with the Seattle Storm, I had the opportunity to write a message that scrolled across the Win Wall during the last two home games of her illustrious, 20-season career with the WNBA (September 4-6, 2022).
I pitch a “10 for #10” idea highlighting 10 of Bird’s athletic and private market milestones alongside her long-worn jersey number. Did you know she’s a VC investor and co-founder? Now you do!
This one felt special. Turn your volume on the in-arena video clip to hear that awesome flippy disc sound.
